Petra Sošťáková searches for inspiration not only in the materials and technologies she uses but, on a more ephemeral level, also in the creative juxtaposition of tradition and futurism. The designer and co-founder of the new lifestyle brand Newintage focuses mainly on the design of furniture, products and futuristic concepts. Although her work always tells stories and has many, at first sight hidden, ambiguities, her extensive experience of working for major designers and architects, such as Tord Boontje, Michael Sodeau, Eva Jiřičná and Bang & Olufsen, always transpires in her work.
