Exquisite water features adorn the interior of the Rosewood Hotel. Their sense of purity and shining beauty are properly symbolic of a city built on water. But for glass, the more symbolic element is fire, as it allows the molten mass to be dynamically shaped into unique pieces. Opposites meet when the glass lighting installations in the hotel lobby bear the calming and fragile beauty of flowing water.
The installation made of glass and metal dances all over the ceiling of the ballroom. The perforate brass parts mirror the element of fire – its passion, strength and force, while the glass parts complement the dance with their tender transparent beauty.
A glass umbrella shields the visitors from all harm and adds a spark of life to their stay. “Its design is inspired by elementary geometry and movement, as well as by the essential characteristics of an umbrella,” says the designer Štěpán Gudev.
