Full moon stands for wealth and abundance. And in all cultures, it has a mysterious and mighty power. Libor Sošťák has lit such moon in the heart of the National Bank of Kuwait.

Along with Mahidol’s Neuron and Dubai Opera’s Symphony, Blue Moon is one of our key dynamic installations. Programmable LED lights are the source of brightness, allowing for altering and modifying the sphere surface in front of our very eyes. And there’s countless number of various modes.
Components
Libor created the giant shining sphere from hand-blown cone-shaped tubes reminding of the little cups inside a plant’s flower.
Light in space
Like a foreign sun, like an unknown planet, like a probe from inside a galaxy. The ever-changing surface reflects volatility of financial markets and fickleness of fortune. On the other hand, the Blue Moon in itself is a symbol of stability and permanence.
