The story behind the light
Design Story
“I was picturing a musician playing the piano and the tones flowing out of the instrument. I tried to imagine them in materialized form. The final glass components symbolize the tones of a grand sonata,” says designer Petra Junová.
Components
The Sonata consists of a total of 103 hand-blown glass pearls which symbolize the notes in a musical score. Glass components are metal-coated with a sandblasted outer layer.
Color Scheme
The installation plays with shades of smoke, and silver and champagne hues.
Hear the Beauty
Someone once said that although piano keys are black and white, they might sound like a million colors in your mind. In Robb Report Penthouse, the beauty of music is transformed into the beauty of glass. Watch and listen to it singing.
