Family memories...

There are moments in a family’s life which you want to keep forever. In the private residence in Esher, London our designers let the family imagine these precious memories. They let their imagination fly and, following their dreams, we helped them materialize those visions in the beauty of glass.

The results are three glass sculptures tailor-made just for them and their living spaces. Three unique pieces which wouldn’t fit so perfectly in any other place in the world.

The story behind the light

Flowers are music for the eyes

“There is a huge garden in front of the house filled with colorful flowers. The owners wanted something like a draught of flowers in the entrance. I imagined it and put it in the installation – the flowers, morning dew and colors painted by nature,” says the designer Wanda Valihrachová. The flowers are like a colorful blast of music for the eyes.

Components

A total of 300 components play in five colors and shades. Each one is hand-blown and hand-shaped, so they are all unique originals. There are leaves flying in the air, speckled with three types of flowers and a total of 169 organic shapes symbolizing water drops and morning dew.

Play of colors

When you pass the installation, the composition metamorphoses from clear crystal to shades of blue, red or gold. Six colors and their diverse combinations are used in this installation.

Signature design

Golden calligraphy shines bright with names of the five children of the family on five glass leaves: blue leaves for the boys and rose ones for the girls.

Sparkling Glass

Have you ever watched bubbles in champagne travelling up the glass? In the residence’s dining room, they reach all the way up to the ceiling. Crystal bubbles of an organic shape mirror the content of the sparkling glasses underneath the installation.

Material

We thought about it and realized that glass is the material that separates your palm from the champagne itself, so wouldn’t it be the best material to embody its bubbles? The components are made from hand-blown crystal glass.

Memories of a necklace long gone

The wife of the owner once saw a necklace so beautiful she could never forget it. It helped our designer create this glass installation embodying the necklace. A Crystal Vortex swirls below the living room’s ceiling.

I take my inspiration primarily from nature and the world of the Orient, and my work shows characteristics of jewelry-like decors.

I emphasize that each component is an original and hand-made piece with its own imperfections. I work under the rule that “Imperfection is beauty.“
