Minerva Trophy for BOAT Design & Innovation awards
We are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership between Lasvit and BOAT International to create a new trophy for the BOAT Design & Innovation Awards 2025. “After 15 successful years of the BOAT Design & Innovation Awards, it felt like the right time to give the trophy a new look. It represents design and innovation, so it was important that it was an art piece in itself, which is why we’re so thrilled to have world class glassmaker Lasvit on board,” said Christopher Whale, BOAT’s Group Creative Director.
The Fluid Beauty of Ocean The Minerva trophy for Design & Innovation Awards reimagines the essence of Minerva, the Roman goddess of wisdom and craftsmanship, through the lens of the sea. Silvered blue waves, fluid and reflective, embody an abstract vision of Minerva, channeling her intelligence and strength through the dynamic energy of water. An Ode to Creativity and Craftsmanship Handcrafted with precision, each trophy captures the untamed power of the ocean while reflecting the meticulous artistry required to shape yachts of extraordinary elegance. A symbol of achievement, it honors the ingenuity and dedication of those who transform vision into reality—designers and builders who, like Minerva, master the art of creation with wisdom and grace. The BOAT Design & Innovation Awards acknowledge everything from the naval architecture, styling, innovation and engineering of today's superyachts, to the changing demands of owners and the increased portfolio of technology. The awards include a Lifetime Achievement Award, which honours a designer who has made an indelible impression on the industry. The new design will be revealed at the awards ceremony at the Superyacht Design Festival 2025 in Kitzbühel.
